I don’t feel like alleging that FIFA has some serious corruption issues is really particularly newsworthy. But given that its “Ethics Committee” (see right) will hand down a ruling Wednesday on a couple of executive committee members who got caught in a British newspaper sting appearing to sell their World Cup hosting votes for cash, and that it will announce the hosts for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in a few weeks, it’s worth highlighting some of the recent goings-on at FIFA HQ.
